how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 113 comments (72 from Reddit, 30 from Metacritic, 11 from TMDB reviews) — 35 of them described how it moves.
📈 rising arc — Builds the whole way through. Pulled both ways throughout — never simply one thing. In the last stretch it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 2 moments that made people jump, 1 that landed as a blow, 1 that got a real laugh.

“I was very impressed by how compelling I found that scene where he refuses to open the door and lets the Xeno take the girl because he couldn't risk letting it in.”

“I spent like the first third of the movie flip-flopping between "this is a clear continuation of the body horror themes of sexual assault/rape that is a pillar of this franchise" and "there's no way they'd kill a pregnant woman...right?"”
GuiltyEidolon · Reddit ↗
“It was the only laugh in the movie when the alien's head came out and there's a moment where it's just a straight-up dick shot straight out of Giger's phallic paintings.”
“I feel they couldve shaved a little off the intro to give me more xenomorph time”

“the movie reached that part, it almost never slowed down, just tense scenes after tense scenes for the most part”

“My crowd gasped when they revealed the final monster”

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
“Crafting a thriller that is tense and taut, Álvarez truly understands what makes an Alien movie breathe, while also expanding on the mythology of the series.”
James Mottram, NME · 100
“The bonkers ending will be a talker. At first, I was skeptical, segued to disturbed, and then thoroughly creeped out. It’s a wild choice, however, one with a hint of precedent elsewhere in the series. And it serves to differentiate what is, admirably, a highly deferential film.”
Johnny Oleksinski, New York Post · 88
“It's got the thrills, it's got the creepy-crawlies, and it's got just enough plot to make you care about the characters. Alien: Romulus is a hell of a night out at the movies.”
Jordan Hoffman, Entertainment Weekly · 83
“A monstrous return to form, similar to its placement in the timeline, “Alien: Romulus” nestles in the franchise’s top three podium position. The blood, sweat, and tears shed in bringing this vision to fruition weren’t in vain.”
Simon Thompson, The Playlist · 83
“Alien: Romulus’s back-to-basics approach to blockbuster horror boils everything fans love about the tonally-fluid franchise into one brutal, nerve-wracking experience.”
Tom Jorgensen, IGN · 80
