how we make money
last updated 19 August 2026
A rating site that hides its incentives has no business asking you to trust its scores. So here is every way money reaches us, and what it is not allowed to touch.
affiliate links
Some "where to watch" links earn us a commission if you sign up or rent something. It costs you nothing extra. Those links are marked with ↗ and carry rel="sponsored".
- Which services appear, and in what order, is decided by actual availability — never by commission rate.
- Services we earn nothing from are shown exactly the same way.
- No affiliate relationship has any effect on a title's score. Scores come from ratings, full stop.
sponsorship
We run native sponsorships, and we do not run display advertising. Ever. The rules:
- Every sponsored placement is labelled Sponsored, in the same size as the surrounding text.
- Sponsors can buy a collection rail, a "presented by" line, or a chart takeover. They cannot buy a score, a rank, a review, or the removal of anything unflattering.
- We will tell a studio exactly where their audience checked their phones, including when the answer is embarrassing. That is the product.
- No pop-ups, no interstitials, no autoplay, no retargeting pixels.
subscriptions
FlickFeel Pro pays for the rest. Pro only contains features built after 19 August 2026 — the Free Forever Charter lists what can never be moved behind it.
aggregate data licensing
We license aggregate attention data — act-by-act energy, phone-check rates, payoff deltas — to studios, streamers, and agencies. Hard limits, enforced in code and not merely promised here:
- Aggregate only. No user-level rows leave the building, at any price.
- A title is only reportable at 25+ real raters, and no reported group may resolve to fewer than 5 people.
- Seeded taste profiles are excluded entirely.
- Anyone can opt out in their profile, and opt-outs are honoured retroactively in future reports.
what money cannot buy here
- A score, a rank, or a chart position.
- Removal of a bad result.
- Your personal data.
If any of that ever changes, it will be announced on this page before it happens, not after.
