how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.

➖ steady — Holds one level all the way. Hard going most of the way through. Marked above the line: 1 that landed as a blow.

“Damn, haven't seen anyone mention the introduction of the Talokans. Shit felt like a horror movie at that moment with the Sirens singing and those on board jumping off from the ship.”

“The third act is the same in most MCU movies. It’s predictable and uninspiring. Big messy CGI fight between good guys and bad guys.”

It reviews better than it plays — admired more than it is enjoyed.
“Every aspect — acting, writing, special effects, score — is a notch above its superhero peers. In the best possible sense, you forget you’re watching just another Marvel movie.”
Johnny Oleksinski, New York Post · 100
“Chadwick Boseman does not appear in this movie, but he’s felt in every single scene. It feels like a way to say goodbye. And, in that, it very much succeeds … while also being a rip-roaring Black Panther movie. Again, this movie is a miracle.”
Mike Ryan, Uproxx · 100
“Wakanda Forever, first and foremost is a film about grief — which is extremely fitting for a movie that, in another and perhaps better timeline, would have starred the man who led the original film to both box office and awards glory.”
Liz Shannon Miller, Consequence · 91
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever manages the delicate balancing act of working beautifully as a sequel to the 2018 movie, a touching tribute to Chadwick Boseman's character and a complex, thrilling MCU adventure.”
Sean Keane, CNET · 90
“The new “Black Panther” celebrates and honors its fallen hero, at the same time showing that this corner of the MCU remains in extremely capable hands.”
Brian Truitt, USA Today · 88

“Wakanda Forever had a really, really good story. Especially given the circumstances surrounding the film, they managed to create a sequel that lives up to the first, tells its own stand-alone story, and pays tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. I never cared much for Shuri’s character in her previous appearances, yet this movie made me invested in her story. At its core, despite all the flare of a Marvel movie, this is a deeply human story about loss and growth. Like the first Black Panther, th”

“_Black Panther: Wakanda Forever_ had an impossible task in the wake of the tragic passing of lead Chadwick Boseman, and for the most part Ryan Coggler does a great job at picking up the pieces and creating a heartfelt story. I feel as though this movie is attempting to do too much though. There are so many side plots and new characters being introduced that the film has a hard time finding its footing. For as much as I enjoyed Riri Williams and here banter with Wakadans, her arch was not nece”

“I want to first state that I am absolutely thrilled about how Wokely pro-racism this, I mean it's 2022, the worst year in cinematic history, but I didn't think the Woke corporate overlords would go to this racist extreme. This is some repugnant crap and if I didn't know better, I would think that they were trying to go full Blazing Saddles and spoof racism.... but alas, it is Disney, and Disney is woke, the racism here isn't satirizing the subject, it's embracing it in all it's evil glory. “I have to admit that I was quite a bit hesitant about this movie. I feared this was one movie where the woke intellectual midgets of Hollywood would go overboard with their nonsense. Luckily, the movie was more or less free of such rubbish except for maybe the lame “joke” at the end of the movie. If you are one of the woke intellectual midgets watching the movie I am sure you could find some contrived way of construing some message out of it but normal people will probably find it rather woke”
