how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.

π flatline β One note, start to finish. Hard going most of the way through. Very little of it ever resolves.

βThat one scene towards the end where she blows up that machine and saves everyone, his little gasp of shock...... What in the fuck was that.β

βAnd this goes on and on, and back and forth, for 90 or so minutes until the movie just, sort of, ends.β
βThe fly down scene of the Tent city when "Four" got his first field gig with the soldiers, where he discovered that they where kidnapping children, I know that ENTIRE mill and it was surreal watching the scene. When he was running down the green hallway, I knew where all the other doors and openings where behind the camera, so It was driving me crazy cause I was thinking of every possibility of what room he could have turned to or who was waiting behind them!β
βpart 2 was just fighting the whole way through, which left me completely exhaustedβ

βThe ending was pretty ridiculous as far as evil plots go.β

βThe strength of Burgerβs movie is the fact that a non-reader of Rothβs work can enjoy Divergent and not be confused by any aspect of the storyline.β

βWoodley, through the delicate power of her acting, does something compelling: She shows you what a prickly, fearful, yet daring personality looks like when it's nestled deep within the kind of modest, bookish girl who shouldn't even like gym class.β

βWhile Burger, Daughtery and Taylor skimp on the charactersβ interior lives, they do make some surprising improvements on the book.β

βA sequel needs to hit the ground running faster than Divergent does. Find more notes for Woodley's elegantly plain face to express.β

βWhat about those who havenβt read the book? Divergent, the movie, still offers a smart, spunky, sympathetic heroine, a hunky love interest and a sobering if rather obvious message about the value of being true to oneself rather than mindlessly conforming.β

βI should probably mention right away that I have not read the book-trilogy that this movie is based on. Given the content matter I might actually have liked the books. The movie? Well to me the movie was a rather mediocre one. As the blurb states the story is set in a dystopian future but we do not really get to know how they got there except the standard explanation that βthere was a warβ. The world is a bizarre mixture of primitive post-apocalypse living and modern, futuristic tech. The divisiβ

βEver since I saw him in a UK television drama entitled "Bedlam" (2011) I thought that Theo James ("Number Four") was a man to watch. He was certainly the hook that got me to start watching these adaptations of Veronica Roth's futuristic novels. Well, beauty can only take you so far; the rest has to be down to acting; dialogue etc. and this falls pretty flat on all counts. The premiss is unique - society is divided into five factions based on a perception of virtue. At 16, teenagers have to decidβ

βI decided since this was my mother's 75th birthday to check out the first of the 'Divergent' series, since I love Kate Winslet and Ashley Judd, and Neil Burger's earlier 'Limitless' was intriguing and decent for recent sci-fi. Unfortunately the actors playing the main protagonists and the special effects were atrocious, the paper-thin plot was resoundingly predictable and I couldn't wait till it ended. Definitely one Burger that was way overdone. Of course Hollywood garbage like this produβ
