Even with tension growing in their friendship, Caroline and Matt do their best to protect the town’s residents from Cade’s appetite for their souls. Bonnie and Enzo hit the road on a romantic trip, taking the bell with them in hopes to keep it safe.

“Her scream was agonizing, I felt her pain through the tv. What a fantastic ending to a great episode. Once again, season eights' 2nd half is making up for lost time. Bonenzo was so great this episode, but they were too happy. But holy shit, I mean it just HAPPENED all of sudden, no warning no nothing, just bam. I think the shock of it, is what hit me the most. No time to hold my breath or cover my eyes, just to watch in horror like Bonnie :(”
