…

what happens

The truth revealed through the memories of Grisha's journals shakes all of Eren's deepest beliefs. There is no rugged but free land beyond the walls. There is a whole other world, equally full of oppression and war. Suddenly, the ambitions that have animated the Survey Corps for generations seem small and naive. What is there left to fight for?

how it went

Left to right is the season — its first episode to its last. Each remark sits in the episode it was made about.

FUN

how good a time it was

MEANINGFUL

how much it moved you

Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.

➖ steady — Holds one level all the way. Pulled both ways throughout — never simply one thing. In the first half it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves.

height: how intense it got, 0–100
gold above: how tender it felt. violet below — what it cost. Thick on both at once means it was doing both.
tension rail: how much was still unresolved
grey haze: how sure we are — wider means fewer people described it

what people actually wrote

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

Every episode has a page — its synopsis, who was in it, and a place to rate it. A number appears when discussion or ratings support one; where there is neither, the dash is the honest answer.
