how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 284 comments (234 from Reddit, 45 from Metacritic, 5 from TMDB reviews) β 55 of them described how it moves.
π rising arc β Builds the whole way through. Hard going most of the way through. In the last stretch it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 1 that landed as a blow, 1 that gave people chills.

βmuch wider lens in the former POV's and even though the scene is awfully horrific, it's nowhere near as vile and uncomfortable as when we get to Margaret's POV. Right off the bat; the room feels much smaller and claustrophobic due to the framing. Tells you a lot about what cinematography can do to add tension to an already tense scene on the page.β

βthe ending part where Carrouges puts Margarite on display in front of everyone after the duel like a prize won was just haunting, as he parades her through the cheering crowd and she's just somber and ignored in the back. It sent a very powerful ending message for the whole movieβ

βSeeing that little boy be blonde at the end, brought me to tears. What a fantastic ending for the story.β

βThe Last Duel is a testament to male self-delusion and self-mythologizing, and the impact it has on the women around them.β
Clint Worthington, Consequence Β· 100
βThe Last Duel, directed by Ridley Scott, gives us the texture of life in 14th century France, so much so that we feel that we are there, in this place thatβs desperate and foreign and yet human and familiar.β
Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle Β· 100
βScott contrives a convincing resemblance to events leading up to the last court-sanctioned duel-to-the-death with a meticulous eye for specifics. He transfers a riveting piece of history into a riveting filmβmostly.β
Thom Ernst, Original-Cin Β· 91
βThe Last Duel is a thematic gold mine, one that sits nicely alongside some of Scottβs best work to date.β
Matthew Monagle, Austin Chronicle Β· 89
βNothing about The Last Duel is subtle. Just about everything about The Last Duel is brutally effective.β
Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times Β· 88
