how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score β the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 39 comments (35 from Metacritic, 4 from TMDB reviews) β 18 of them described how it moves.
Thin evidence β the shape below rests on 18 comments. The shaded band is how wide the uncertainty actually is, and it is drawn to scale.
Not enough people said when to name this shape. The line is what the evidence draws, not a finding.

It reviews better than it plays β admired more than it is enjoyed.
βOther films this year will have to sweat bullets to match the explosive power and subversive wit of David Cronenberg's A History of Violence. It slams you like a body punch and then starts messing with your head.β
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone Β· 100
βA masterpiece of indirection and pure visceral thrills, David Cronenberg's latest mindblower, A History of Violence, is the feel-good, feel-bad movie of the year.β
Manohla Dargis, The New York Times Β· 100
βViolence is in the spirit of the hardest-hitting film noir offerings from the '50s, but far more explicit. It's also in the spirit of the Western.β
Mike Clark, USA Today Β· 100
βThis masterpiece, an art film deftly masquerading as a thriller, seems to celebrate small-town pastoralism and critique big-city violence, but this position turns out to be double-edged.β
Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader Β· 100
βA sobering reflection on our culture's attitude toward violence.β

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.

βProbably Cronenberg's most mundane work, but that's not even remotely a knock against _A History of Violence_. I hear tell that fans of the comic don't much like this big screen re-telling, but I've never read it, so I'm gonna go ahead and really enjoy it anyway. _Final rating:β β β Β½ - I really liked it. Would strongly recommend you give it your time._β
