how much it moved you
Two separate readings, not parts of the score — the score says how much of it held you, these say what kind of watch it was.
Nobody has rated this on FlickFeel yet. This is public discussion of this title, read into a curve. It is not a rating and it never becomes one.
Read from 274 comments (223 from Reddit, 39 from Metacritic, 12 from TMDB reviews) — 66 of them described how it moves.
📈 rising arc — Builds the whole way through. Pulled both ways throughout — never simply one thing. Around the middle it was tender and painful at the same time, which is the state people mean by being moved. Very little of it ever resolves. Marked above the line: 7 that landed as a blow, 3 that gave people chills, 2 that got a real laugh.

“immediately after the butterfly scene as Jojo is mourning Waititi lets the camera sit on the roof dormers (like the one Elsa can look out of in her hiding spot) looking over the hanging. The thought of other Jews hiding in all those homes mourning with Jojo brought the scene up to 11 for me.”

Published reviews, not felt experience — a different question from the one above, and never mixed into the FlickFeel score.
It plays better than it reviews — the watch lands harder than the write-ups suggest.
“Jojo Rabbit succeeds even with a high degree of difficulty, given the sensitivities of the subject matter, the emotional undercurrent of a mother’s devotion to her son and the breaking down of artificial walls to let love in. As much as it makes you laugh, Waititi’s must-watch effort is a warm hug of a movie that just so happens to have a lot of important things to say.”
Brian Truitt, USA Today · 100
“A work of sublime sweetness and beauty.”
Karen Gordon, Original-Cin · 100
“Waititi infuses a level of humanity into WWII without blindly forgiving those responsible, nor hiding behind the guise of good guys in bad situations, or allowing even a 10-year-old boy to get away with hate without swift retribution and thorough self-examination.”
Joelle Monique, Paste Magazine · 95
“Waititi ... finds such strange, sweet humor in his storytelling that the movie somehow maintains its ballast, even when the tone inevitably (and it feels, necessarily) shifts.”
Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly · 91
“Waititi masterfully balances the film’s comedy with the seriousness of the subject. He plays with your emotions to heighten the impact of the story’s message. Nothing in this film feels gratuitous and the tonal shift in the film will hit you like a ton of bricks.”

Grouped by where it was written, because a considered review and a reaction typed an hour after the credits are different things. Every quote links to its source.
